Emergence and Morphological Response of Cashew (Anacardium occidentale L.) Treated Nuts as Influenced by Some Fungicides on Young Seedlings

چکیده

Cashew (Anacardium occidentale L.) seedlings are attacked by fungi diseases such as damping off and seedling blight caused Fusarium spp. Rhizoctonia which can amount to about 60-65% loss in the nursery. nut seeds majorly sown farmers untreated. Fungicides have also been observed delay emergence negatively influence morphological traits some crops. This experiment aims at observing effect of using fungicide seed dressings on cashew morphology before transplanting. Medium biotype three commonly used fungicides were used. The 3 months was set up nursery a Completely Randomized Design CRD. treatments are; Control + (Ct); Apron Star (AS), Dress Force (DF) Seed Care (SC). Topsoil filled perforated polythene bags No significant difference identified all among through duration experiment. From maximum vigour scale 5, Ct, AS DF had 4.7 while SC 4.2. As precautionary measure against diseases, Star, not negative growth young when nuts treated with them sowing.
